What is a dark spot?

The moment the skin experiences an external aggression (UV rays, hormonal changes, skin lesions), it defends itself by producing melanin. The melanin migrates to the surface of the epidermis and, due to a malfunction in the body, instead of spreading out uniformly it concentrates in a single site, generating a dark spot.

The different types of dark spots include:
- Melasma or chloasma
- Senile lentigines
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

The main causes of the appearance of dark spots are:
Sun exposure, genetics, skin aging, pollution, the blue light emitted by electronic devices and/or hormonal changes in pregnancy or the use of oral contraceptives, etc.

How are dark spots treated?

Dark spots are usually treated through:

Aesthetic and/or dermatological procedures: laser, chemical peels, pulsed light, cryotherapy or medications such as Hydroquinone or Kligman's Formula.

Cosmetic products with active ingredients such as Tranexamic Acid, Niacinamide or AHAs. All of these have excellent proven depigmenting efficacy.

Photoprotection as a preventive treatment against solar radiation.

How to apply Skin D-Pigment [ATX B3 Serum]?

Use Skin D-Pigment [ATX B3 Serum] in your morning routine and every other day in your night routine.

Apply to clean, dry skin on the face, neck and neckline, gently massaging in to enhance absorption.

Do not use on the eye contour.

On days when you do not use the depigmenting serum at night, apply Skin D-Pigment [AHA10 Overnight] for best results.
